Perjalanan Karier Han Hyo Joo (Brilliant Legacy)

Dalam 5 tahun perjalanan karier aktingnya, Han Hyo Joo selalu muncul dalam drama-drama populer. Sayangnya, baru di tahun kelima kariernya, nama Han Hyo Joo melejit dan diperhitungkan sebagai aktris papan atas.

Semua bermula kerika ia bermain di drama Shining Inheritance atau Brilliant Legacy (BL) yang memperoleh respons spektakuler dari penonton di Korea. Karakter Eun Seong sebagai gadis ceria, pekerja keras, tulus, dan menyenangkan begitu disukai penonton. Meski BL di Korea sudah usai tayang, Han Hyo Joo sering dipanggil dengan nama Eun Seong.

“Ya, saya merasakan banyak perubahan. Suatu kali saya pergi ke sebuah acara, dan ada gadis kecil berusia lima tahun memanggil saya Eun Seong Unnie. Para nenek juga sering datang dan menyapa saya, ‘Hai, Eun Seong!’” akunya.

Han Hyo Joo mengawali kariernya di dunia hiburan lewat ajang kontes kecantikan pada 2003. Sebagai lulusan kontes kecantikan remaja, Han Hyo Joo dilirik banyak produser. Ia juga pernah menjadi pembawa acara di stasiun TV SBS bersama personel Shinhwa, Andy Lee. Menjadi bintang iklan, sudah pasti.

Setelah BL melejit tahun lalu, Hyo Joo membintangi delapan iklan dalam setahun. Perjalanan karier akting pun Han Hyo Joo tak buruk. Dimulai dari drama komsit Nonstop musim ke-5 pada 2005, bareng sejumlah artis populer lain seperti Go Hye Sun, Lee Min Woo, Lee Min Ho, termasuk Lee Seung Ki yang kini jadi lawan mainnya di BL.

Sebelum serial BL yang makin mengukuhkan namanya sebagai aktris paling populer tahun 2009, aktris yang terdaftar sebagai mahasiswi Universitas Dongguk jurusan seni teater ini pernah muncul di peran kecil film My Boss, My Teacher (2005), Ad-Lib Night (2006), Ride Away (2008), dan My Dear Enemy (2008).

Peran utama didapatnya di serial Spring Waltz (2006), Like Land and Sky (2007), dan Iljimae (2008). Lewat tiga serial ini, Bintang memasukkan nama Han Hyo Joo dalam deretan 10 Bintang Korea Paling Berkilau dua tahun berturut-turut (2008-2009). Dan mengingat sukses BL yang saat ini diputar di Indonesia, kemungkinan besar Han Hyo Joo masih akan bertahan di daftar tahun ini.

Peran seperti Eun Seong di BL ini sudah lama diidamkan gadis kelahiran 22 Februari 22 tahun silam. Meski sering bermain di drama populer, Han Hyo Joo merasa belum mendapat popularitas seperti yang diharapkan. Peran utamanya di Spring Waltz meski mendapat banyak pujian, belum cukup mendongkrak nama Han Hyo Joo hingga bisa dikatakan sejajar dengan aktris-aktris papan atas Korea. Pun dengan serial Iljimae yang sepertinya lebih terasa imbasnya pada pemeran utama prianya, Lee Junki.

“Sejujurnya, saya selalu bekerja keras sejak memulai debut, tapi saya ingin membuat kehadiran saya lebih dikenal, dan saya berpikir keras tentang itu. Sejauh ini, saya tak pernah mendapat kesempatan beristirahat lebih dari dua bulan dan benar-benar santai, tapi saya gagal meraih popularitas dari akting atau penampilan saya. Saya pernah frustrasi dan merasa harus memperbaiki hidup saya. Tapi setelah itu, saya menerima skenario Shining Inheritance (Brilliant Legacy). Saya sama sekali tak ragu bahwa karakter di drama ini akan membantu mengubah imej. Sejauh ini, saya hanya memainkan karakter baik-baik yang pendiam dan harus bersabar dalam menyampaikan perasaan. Tapi karakter Eun Seong adalah seseorang yang bisa menangis kencang dari dalam hati saat merasa kehilangan di episode pertama. Saya melihat kesempatan mewujudkan harapan dan lebih dewasa sebagai aktris dari karakter ini,” paparnya panjang lebar.

Eun Seong sedikit banyak memiliki kesamaan dengan Han Hyo Joo dalam keseharian, tak ragu-ragu meluapkan perasaan yang ada dalam hati dan pikirannya.

“Saya ingin sehat secara fisik dan mental, seperti Eun Seong. Saya gembira saat mengetahui Eun Seong bisa membuat penonton menangis dan tertawa,” imbuhnya.

Lewat peran Go Eun Seong di BL, harapan Han Hyo Joo terwujud. Ia makin eksis dan terus dilirik untuk memainkan berbagai peran sentral di serial-serial baru. Setelah membatalkan proyek serial Chuno, Hyo Joo memastikan tahun ini akan muncul di drama Dong Yi. Tapi yang heboh, duetnya bareng Hero TVXQ di telesinema Heaven’s Postman yang dibumbui adegan ciuman.

Widescreen: Airbus unveils transparent airplane

Airbus has unveiled a futuristic concept for a transparent plane that may be everyday air transport in 2050. With its see-through aircraft cabin, passengers of the future will get a window on the world as they fly through the sky. They will be able to see everything to the sides and in front of them.

The concept cabin unveiled at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London, would be a bionic structure that 'mimics' the efficiency of the bird bone, claimed the company.

It would provide strength where needed, and also allows for an intelligent' cabin wall membrane, which controls air temperature and can become transparent to give passengers open, panoramic views.

The company believes that mid-century passengers might be able to enjoy a game of virtual golf or take part in interactive conferences, while the cabin 'identifies and responds' to travelers' needs.

In the 'interactive zone' there are virtual pop-up projections taking passengers to whichever social scene they want to be in, from holographic gaming to virtual changing rooms for active shoppers.

The 'smart tech zone' is tailored towards the more functional-orientated passenger with what Airbus describes as 'a chameleon-style offering.

"Our research shows that passengers of 2050 will expect a seamless travel experience while also caring for the environment," the Daily Mail quoted Airbus engineering executive vice-president Charles Champion as saying.

"The concept cabin is designed with that in mind, and shows that the journey can be as much a voyage of discovery as the destination," he added.

There are things I was thinking, son: I had been cross to you. I scolded you as you were dressing for school because you gave your face merely a dab with a twoel. I took you to task for not cleaning your shoes. I called out angrily when you threw some of your things on the floor.
At breakfast I found fault, too. You spilled things. You gulped down your food. You put your elbows on the table. You spread butter too thick on your bread. And as you started off to play and I made for my train, you turned and waved a hand and called, “Goodbye, Daddy!” and I frowned, and said in reply, “Hold your shoulders back!”
Then it began all over again in the late afternoon. As I came Up the road, I spied you, down on your knees, playing marbles. There were holes in your stockings. I humiliated you before you boyfriends by marching you ahead of me to the house. Stockings were expensive – and if you had to buy them you would be more careful! Imagine that, son, form a father!

Well, son, it was shortly afterwards that my paper slipped from my hands and a terrible sickening fear came over me. What has habit been doing to me? The habit of finding fault, of reprimanding – this was my reward to your for being a boy. It was not that I did not love you; it was that I expected too muchof youth. I was measuring you by the yardstick of my own years.
And there was so much that was good and fine and true in yourcharacter. The little heart of you was as big as the dawn itself overthe wide hills. This was shown by your spontaneous impulse to rush in and kiss me good night. Nothing else matters tonight, son. I have come to your bedside in the darkness, and I have knelt there, ashamed!
It is a feeble atonement; I know you would not understand these things if I told them to you during your waking hours. But tomorrow I will be a real daddy! I will chum with you, and suffer when you suffer, and laugh when you alugh. I will bite my tongue when impatient words come.
